On Sunday, March 25th, 2018 South Windsor Cultural Arts will feature violinist Chloe Kiffer and pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine in concert. A native of France, Chloe Kiffer has been praised by press for her spellbinding and electrifying performances and has claimed top prizes at multiple national and international competitions. She has performed solo and orchestra engagements throughout Europe, Canada, North and South America, the Middle East, and Asia in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls. At the age of 19, Russian-American pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine won the Special Award for Artistic Potential at the prestigious Van Cliburn International Competition. Since then, he has won top prizes in more than 20 international competitions, has appeared as a soloist with many of the world’s top orchestras, and was appointed to the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music in 2013.
The program will include Maurice Ravel’s “Sonata in G Major for Violin and Piano”, “Sonata Posthume in A Minor for Violin and Piano”, “Tzigane” for Violin and Piano; and, Igor Stravinsky’s “Duo Concertant" for Violin and Piano and “Trois mouvements de Petrouchka” for Piano.
The concert starts at 2:00 pm at Wood Memorial Library, 783 Main Street, South Windsor, CT. Doors are open at 2:30. Come early for best seats. The concert is FREE and donations are welcomed. This concert is sponsored by the South Windsor Rotary Club and the East Hartford Rotary Club.
