South Windsor, CT -- The Town of South Windsor proudly invites you to celebrate its first Festival of Lights -- a celebration of our unity in diversity. The town is hosting this event in partnership with various local and national corporations, cultural organizations and individuals, who care deeply about our unity and diversity, to celebrate our rich cultural diversity. This is an event for all ages, and will surely be one to remember.

Led by the won, underwritten by private companies, organizations and residents, this unique private-public partnership lays a winning framework to promote and sustain social harmony and strengthen our unity and integration. Starting at the town level, this partnership framework can include other towns in Connecticut and beyond, creating a truly national movement for social integration and unity.

"South Windsor has a proud tradition of being a town that welcomes the contributions of people from all heritages and backgrounds. We are proud of our multi-cultural and multi-ethnic diverse population. The theme for the celebration is - Different roots, all American," says Mayor Carolyn Mirek. "This event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of Town Manager Matt Galligan, his dedicated team, and the generous sponsors," adds Mirek.
