It's Never Too Early To Adjust Your 2018 Motor Vehicle Bill!
The 2018 Tax Bills will be mailed the last week in June, 2018.
The motor vehicle tax bill covers the period of October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. If a vehicle was replaced after 10/1/2017 and the registration was transferred to another vehicle, this bill is still due. You will recieve an automatic credit for this vehicle on a supplemental bill in January 2019. For vehicles sold, stolen, totally destroyed and the registration was not transferred to another vehicle, or if you have moved out of state, you may be eligible for a tax credit. To obtain a credit, you must furnish proof as required by the Assessor - Phone: 860-644-2511 ext. 312.

The Assessor's Department would like to thank all property owners for their cooperation during the 2017 townwide revaluation process. Notices of value changes were mailed to all taxpayers in October 2017. All new values can be accessed using this link: http://gis.vgsi.com/SouthWindsorCT/ and can be searched by: Owner Name, Property Address, or Map/ Block/ Lot. If you experience any difficulties please call the office and we will assist you.
The assessed values set by the 2017 revaluation will be reflected in the tax bills that are sent out for payment in July, 2018 and will be calculated using mill rate that is set by the budget process in the Spring of 2018.
