Registrar of Voters


On Presidential Election Day, November 8, 2016, the Madden Room, Lower Level of the South Windsor Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Avenue will be open from 6am EST to 8pm EST to admit electors to register and vote. It will be clearly marked with signs outside and in the building. Each individual must bring a current valid ID with their name and address in South Windsor.  They will be required to fill out, sign and date a CT Voter Registration card; it then will be input into the CT Voting System and the elector at that time will be given a ballot to vote. ALL OF THESE STEPS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE 8pm EST.

We cannot stress enough that you should come in early as the 3 steps above must be completed before you will be given a ballot to vote. Your registration must be input in the CT Voting System before 8pm EST in order for you to be able to vote.  THERE WILL NOT BE ANY EXCEPTIONS. Once it is 8pm EST, the process to register and vote in-person on November 8, 2016 will be closed.

November 1, 2016
Our office located in the Lower Level of the South Windsor Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Avenue will be open for in-person CT Voter Registration at 9am and will close at 8pm.

November 7, 2016
Our office will be open from 9am to 5pm to admit those seeking to vote in the Presidential Election on November 8, 2016 whose qualifications as to age, citizenship or residence was attained since November 1, 2016. An admitting official, on written request received at any time prior to 5pm on this date, may admit as electors members of the armed forces and former members of the armed forces discharged within the calendar year immediately preceding such request, if found qualified.
