NOTICE:
The Registrar of Voters Office has extended hours for in-person voter registration on Saturday, October 22nd 10am to 2pm (Sections 9-16 & 9-17 State of CT Election Laws); Tuesday, November 1st  9am to 8pm (Section 9-17 State of CT Election Laws); and Monday, November 7th 9am to 12 noon (Section 9-17 State of CT Election Laws).This session applies to such persons whose rights as to age, citizenship or residence have matured after October 25th  Servicemen – Special Sessions: On Monday, November 7th until 5pm for any electors members of the armed forces or former members of the armed forces discharged within the calendar year (Section 9-25 State of CT Election Laws).


The office of the Registrar of Voters is governed by Connecticut State Statutes. The primary duties of the Registrars’ are to register new voters, maintain voter registration records and enrollment records, publish lists of eligible voters, conduct a state required canvass of all voters, compile monthly reports of all activities concerning the voters in South Windsor, and administer and oversee all elections, primaries and referenda in an accurate and impartial manner. They are also responsible for hiring and training over 100 official poll workers as well as maintaining all voting equipment used for the election.
