Positively Affecting Life in South Windsor...
...where our
Community Accepts Respects Everyone
What is PALS CARE?
PALS CARE is a group of 4th and 5th grade students representing the five elementary schools in town to promote acceptance, diversity and community service within the South Windsor Community. All the projects are designed and implemented by the students with guidance from the Youth and Family Services Coordinator.
The goals of PALS CARE are to broaden the connection between elementary age youth who attend the various schools in South Windsor and to empower them to make a difference in their community.
If you are an adult who wishes to help make PALS CARE a success please call Jennifer Anderson at 648-6361.
What is National Youth Service Day?
National Youth Service Day, created by Youth Service America, is a day set aside for youth in the United States to complete the projects they have designed. It is a day where youth are united in the common goal of giving back to their communities.
PALS CARE would like to be a part of this incredible day by completing one of their projects during the dates of April 15-17, 2005.
As a community…
¤ we will promote constructive participation and productive citizenship in the COMMUNITY;
¤ we will embrace diversity and ACCEPT individuality;
¤ we will each demonstrate the responsibility to RESPECT self and others; and
¤ we will create a respectful, safe, ridicule-free environment where EVERYONE is responsible for his or her own behavior.
