Vital Statistics
Marriage Licenses: FEE $ 30.00 The license can be obtained in either the town of occurrence, town of residence of the bride or groom. Both the bride and groom must appear together at the same location to obtain a license and present photo ID.
Birth Certificates: FEE $ 5.00 (WALLET SIZE) OR $10.00 (LONG FORM)
Must be 18 or over to apply; parent must have been resident of town at time of birth .
Marriage Certificates: FEE $10.00 Available upon request; must have been married in South Windsor or a resident when marriage occured in CT.  
Death Certificates: FEE $ 10.00 Available upon request; must have died in South Windsor or been a resident

Notary Public Services
Administering oath of office and/or recording notary commission certificate is mandatory for South Windsor residents. Non-residents optional. FEE $ 10.00
All Clerks are Notaries and will notarize a maximum of two (2) documents ( NO Wills, Living Wills or real estate papers).  Documents must be signed in the presence of  the notary, not before because notarization is witnesssing the signature in person.
Free to residents. Non-residents will be charged $5.00 for each notary signature and raised seal .
All foreign language documents must have English translation attached  or they cannot be notarized.

Book of Ordinances and Town Charter
The Town Charter and Code of Ordinances are codified and packaged copies are available for $75.00 each at the Town Clerk's office.  The Charter and up to date Ordinances can be viewed on-line.

Sporting Licenses
Certificate of Completion of Education/Firearms Safety must be presented for first time hunters or trappers and all others must show proof of prior hunting license issued within the last 5 years.  If no proof is presented, the State Hunter Safety course must be taken again.
