LEAF DROP OFF SITE OPENS APRIL 5, 2008 FOR RESIDENTS
The leaf drop off site will be opened to residents April 5 for spring leaf cleanup. The site will only be opened by appointment only. The site will be available to residents Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm daily. To drop off leaves and leaves only, (no grass clippings, sticks or branches with leaves will be accepted), you can stop at the office at the town garage, addressStreet157 Burgess Road, to sign in for an appointment.
There will be no spring curbside vacuum or paper leaf bag collection scheduled. You may drop leaves off at the site, once an appointment has been made. Paper leaf bags can be discarded directly into the drop off site. If leaves are dropped off in plastic bags you are required to empty the bags at the site. If you do not wish to take the plastic bags with you, receptacles have been provided at the site for their disposal. You may also drop them off by pickup truck. Again we remind resident’s leaves and leaves only can be dropped off at the site.
The leaf drop off site will be locked at all times. An appointment will be necessary to get the site opened for disposal. The site, in the off hours, will be monitored for anyone illegally disposing of leaves, leaf bags, sticks or brush around or just outside the gates to the leaf drop off site.
The leaf drop off site will only be available until June 8, 2008 when it will close for the season and will not re-open again until the fall. If you have any questions you make contact Street Services at 648-6366 Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm.
